MY FIRST GO at – 100 Word Challenge for Grown Ups – Week #40

08 May

She sat there, ready and waiting in her wedding dress, Amelia finally had 5 minutes to herself. She sat looking at her ruby engagement ring.

Was she making the right decision? She loved him, of course, there was no denying that, but was marrying him worth loosing everything she ever knew and held dear? Would their love really conquer all and survive this?

She couldn’t imagine her life without her family, but she also couldn’t imagine her life without him. She just didn’t know what to do.

There was a knock at the door.

‘The car’s here, you ready to go?’

(this week’s word – Ruby)

You painted a portrait of that moment when it feels like it could go either way (but how many women really stop the proceedings when they’re that close?) I should have, but I didn’t. The way you ended it lets the reader decide, maybe project what they wish they had done. Interesting 100 words!
